Sweet Glazed Meatloaf
By flacad79
This sweet glazed meatloaf recipe is one of my and my family's favorites. Excellent for Sunday dinner served with greens medley, corn bread and baked macaroni and cheese. (Thank God for the Wii Fit. lol :-) Comments are appreciated - Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1 1/2 lb ground beef
1/3 cup milk
1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs
1/4 cup ketchup
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 large bell pepper chopped
1 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1 large egg, beaten
Glaze
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup dark corn syrup
- In a large bowl mix all the meatloaf ingredients together (with your hands is easiest) and form into a loaf as pictured above.
- Bake covered with foil at 350 degrees F for 1 hour. (Do not drain all the juices off the loaf before glazing or it will make the meatloaf dry.)
- Mix glaze and pour over entire loaf. Bake uncovered until coating is cooked about 20 minutes.
- Serve meatloaf in slices as shown above.
